There were five villains. Each was evil in his or her own ways. One day each of the villains were contacted by The Powers That Be. The Powers That Be appeared to each villain in a different form, for The Powers That Be are very powerful and can appear as almost anything. The Powers That Be urged, convinced, tempted, forced, threatened or blackmailed these villains to do as they said. And they said
go, children. you must gather more of your kind, more induviduals with your soul's failings. gather those who already know that the shadows are stronger than the light. those who know that the constancy of love and hope can neither rescue nor restore them. give them this gift. it is.. a gift of power. it will enhance all of your strengths, and possibly add ones that were never there in the first place. it is essential that you carry out your task! once you have gathered enough induviduals - make them fight. lie to them, entice them, threaten them, we do not care. tell them that the winner will.. be rewarded. the winner will have anything that the winner wants. wealth, fame, pleasure, power, we do not care, we will grant it. just bring them to us!
And so, the five villains that The Powers That Be contacted went out to seek others with their soul's same failings, others who knew that night would always fall at the end of each perfect day, others who did not even believe that there was such a thing as "the constancy of love and hope". They sought them out and, through some method or other, convinced them to join, to fight, to conquer (or most likely perish). The five original villains would judge who would go on, from those who survived their fights. The most ruthless and evil were almost sure to win. So, do not let them see mercy, do not let them see kindness.
This is the Sinister End, do not expect to survive.
